The Victorian Electoral Commission has officially declared the result of the Borough of Queenscliffe 2024 Municipal Election, with two first-time Councillors joining three Councillors who have previously served in the role.
The successful candidates elected to Council are Brendan Monahan, Di Rule, Isabelle Tolhurst, Hélène Cameron and Donnie Grigau.
Borough of Queenscliffe CEO Martin Gill congratulated the new Councillors and thanked all the candidates who ran for election.
"I'd like to give a warm welcome to the new Councillors, as well as those who are returning," Mr Gill said. "I look forward to working closely with the new Council as we continue to progress important projects across the Borough."
The result was announced at 3:00pm on Wednesday 12 November 2024 in the Queenscliffe Town Hall by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC). It followed a period of 56 days since nominations closed for the Borough of Queenscliffe election, where a total of 11 candidates nominated for five vacancies.
The Councillors will be sworn in at a ceremony conducted at Queenscliffe Town Hall today at 4 pm.
