The Bradbury basketball courts are being upgraded to 2 new multipurpose courts featuring basketball, netball, badminton and volleyball layouts to further enhance the recreational facilities within the Campbelltown Billabong Parklands/Bradbury Oval precinct.
Excavation works have now started at the open space located adjacent to the Billabong Parklands ahead of construction of the new courts.
The project will also include a network of pathways, new furniture and shade shelter.
"These new courts will enhance a popular location for young people in the area and provide a space for a greater variety of court sports to be played," Mayor Dr George Greiss said.
"Co-locating alongside the Billabong Parklands will further enhance what has become a world class recreational precinct within the heart of Campbelltown," Dr Greiss said.
The existing courts will be closed in the coming months to provide additional parking for the precinct.
