Teams of ninjas will take to Bellerive Oval over summer as Cricket Tasmania confirms its naming partner.

Demonstrating Tasmania continues to attract strong investment and the benefits professional sport can bring to our State, Bellerive Oval will now be known as Ninja Stadium after SharkNinja inked a deal with Cricket Tasmania.

Minister for Sport and Events, Nick Duigan, said the company is closely aligned to Cricket Tasmania and its professional teams.

"Ninja was announced as the naming rights partner of the Women's A-League last month, so today's announcement is further proof of their dedication to growing women's sport right across the country," Minister Duigan said.

"Along with their commitment to the stadium, SharkNinja will join the Hurricanes WBBL and BBL playing kit as well.

"Our 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future is investing in local sporting infrastructure to ensure our players have the facilities they need to play right here at home. This deal will support that.

"Congratulations to Cricket Tasmania for securing this partnership which will help inspire many young budding cricketers and secure the future of the game in Tasmania."

WBBL|10 starts this week. The Hobart Hurricanes' first match at Ninja Stadium will be held on Monday 28 October. Players from the first decade of the WBBL will be celebrated at a Marquee Matchup on November 21, against the Melbourne Renegades.

The Hurricanes will be attempting to win their first elusive piece of W/BBL silverware and started the summer by winning the T20 Spring Challenge over the weekend.
