New Department Of Transport Centre Opens In Busselton

  • New Department of Transport Busselton centre now open
  • Customers can now perform a range of expanded transport and licensing services from one location

South West residents can complete an expanded range of transport transactions in Busselton with the new Department of Transport (DoT) centre Busselton now open.

The new one-stop-shop, located at Unit 1, 57 Cook Street, Busselton, offers residents of Busselton and surrounding communities more options and convenience when conducting their DoT transactions.

The fit-out was completed by WA company Devlyn Construction, which has an office in Bunbury.

Customers will have increased access to practical driving assessments, computerised theory and hazard perception testing, and will be able to purchase optional plates.

For the first time, DoT services previously unavailable in Busselton will be offered, including National Disability Insurance Scheme worker screening checks, jetty licence payments and over-the-counter support for on-demand transport operators.

Australia Post Busselton will continue to accept payments fordriver's licence and vehicle renewals, transfer of vehicle ownership, boat licence renewals, infringements andCountry Age Pension Fuel Card applications.

Busselton residents will no longer have to travel to Bunbury for these licensing services, with the one-stop-shop now located centrally, with plenty of free parking and a bike rack onsite.

The new centre will be open 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday.

As stated by Minister Assisting the Transport Minister David Michael:

"The new Department of Transport Busselton centre improves access to transport services in the South West, by providing a full set of DoT services to Busselton and surrounding communities.

"This is a win for Busselton residents as they no longer need to travel to Bunbury to receive comprehensive in-person DoT customer assistance.

"As the population in the South West continues to grow, so does demand for DoT services and this new facility will help us meet the community's needs.

"The new, modern DoT Busselton centre will be an asset to the South West community and has opened just in time for the Christmas school holidays."
