Ambulance Victoria is pleased to announce the appointment of three new and well-credentialled Board Directors.
The collective skills and experience of Andrew Crisp AM APM, Dr Fergus Kerr and Allison Smith will be of exceptional benefit to Ambulance Victoria as the service continues its most significant reform program since its creation.
Mr Crisp has had a long career in government service, leading departments and agencies. This includes his most recent role as Victoria's Emergency Management Commissioner, following a distinguished 40-year career with Victoria Police.
Dr Kerr has been Chief Medical Officer at the Royal Melbourne Hospital since 2022. He was previously Group Director of Medical Services and Clinical Governance at Cabrini Health and held a series of senior leadership positions including Chief Medical Officer at Austin Health, and Executive Director of Medical Services at Peninsula Health.
With extensive experience in multiple industries, Ms Smith is recognised as a leader in a number of disciplines but specifically financial analysis and reporting. She has held senior finance, retail, merchandise, marketing, supply chain and IT roles in some of Australia's most influential organisations.
Ambulance Victoria would also like to acknowledge departing Board Directors Dr Joanna Flynn AM, Ian Forsyth and Peter Lewinsky AM who have completed their terms, and thank them for their hard work and dedication to Ambulance Victoria and the Victorian community.
Chief Executive Jane Miller said she looked forward to working with the Board to progress the AV transformation.
"Ambulance Victoria is fortunate to have a committed and passionate Board of Directors with a breadth of experience in health and emergency services, clinical governance, community engagement, executive management, finance, legal and enterprise risk management," Ms Miller said.
"While we bid farewell to three exceptional and dedicated Board Directors in Ian, Jo and Peter, we are thrilled to welcome three excellent appointments who share our passion for delivering high quality care to our patients and our community and make Ambulance Victoria a world-leading ambulance service."
The Ambulance Victoria Board of Directors develops strategic direction, oversees financial and service performance, and ensures regulatory and government policy requirements and standards are met.
The Board represents the diversity of our community with directors from culturally diverse backgrounds, from both metropolitan and rural areas and a mix of males and females.
