New footage of car wanted in hit-run crash released

Major Crash Officers have released new footage of a car wanted in relation to a hit-run crash at Holden Hill in December.

Just after 4.10am on Tuesday 20 December emergency services responded to reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian on Sudholz Road just outside the Holden Hill Police Station. The driver of the car left the scene without stopping.

The pictured car, a dark coloured SUV, possibly a Mazda, was travelling in a south-easterly direction along Sudholz Road, in the centre lane of three, when it collided with the pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 25-year-old Mitchell Park man, was rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with critical injuries. He remains in hospital and is now stable.

Following the crash, the involved vehicle conducted a number of U-turns in the area before it was last seen travelling north-east along North East Road, Holden Hill.

Police are appealing for the driver of the car to come forward.

Anyone who recognises the car, has dash-cam footage, or any information that will assist the ongoing investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 – you can remain anonymous.
