More Tasmanians will be supported into jobs with the Tasmanian Liberal Government's successful jobs hubs initiative being secured to 2027.
Minister for Skills and Training, Felix Ellis, said creating jobs is a top priority of the Liberals' 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania's Future.
"Today, we are proud to announce that local Jobs Hubs in Sorell and Brighton will get new funding to secure their vital services through to 2027," Minister Ellis said.
"Regional Jobs Hubs have been a roaring success since they first launched, with more than 4000 Tasmanians having been employed through the hubs.
"These incredible services match Tasmanians from all walks of life with training and employment opportunities, enabling hundreds of locals to get a job they love.
"Jobs Hubs also support businesses to find the staff that they need to meet their workforce demands in an increasingly challenging labour market.
"Business and Employment Southeast in Sorell and the Southcentral Workforce Network in Brighton have been embraced by their community and businesses alike.
"Our Jobs Hubs touch the lives of thousands of Tasmanians each year and we are so proud of the way they service and support their communities."
Kerry Vincent, Liberal candidate for Prosser, was delighted to confirm the funding.
"I've been proud to be part of the Sorell Jobs Hub from the very beginning, and I've seen the difference it has made," Mr Vincent said.
"Every Tasmanian deserves the opportunity to get a job, especially in regional areas, and this is a really exciting announcement for crucial services in my community.
"To see the Jobs Hub model grow from a local service to a statewide network that is delivering nation-leading outcomes has been inspiring."
The Minister for Skills and Training, Felix Ellis paid tribute to Mr Vincent.
"Kerry is acknowledged in every corner of the State as the founder of Jobs Hubs in Tassie, and we thank him for his years of advocacy that have seen these crucial services come to life."
This announcement secures the Jobs Hubs in Sorell and Brighton, as well as the other hubs right across the State.
