David Clark joined the board on 1 June 2024 and Jayne Scott joined on 1 October 2024.
Susan Jee stepped down from the NRS board on 30 September 2024. Susan joined the board in January 2012. Susan operated as a highly engaged member of the board and its board committees, routinely providing valuable contributions and insights to its discussions and regularly bringing her outside experience and knowledge, particularly in the field of finance and of the nuclear industry, to bear on strategic, operational, financial and risk topics.
David Clark
David holds a degree in electrical & electronic engineering from Strathclyde University and began his career with Schlumberger (now SLB), with operational and management positions across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Following executive roles at Wood plc, where he established and grew the Middle East business as CEO and director of a regional JV and at Aker Solutions, initially as president of UK and Africa and as EVP for the newly created global Service Division. In November 2020, David led the carve out of the Lloyd's Register energy division, to private equity investors, to create Vysus Group, where he was CEO. Following the successful divestments of 5, non-core business lines, David stepped down as CEO in May 2024 and remains a non-executive director of Vysus Group.
David is also a non-executive director of the EIC (Energy Industries Council) and has been active in supporting the UK energy sector, including a period as NED at OGUK (now OEUK) and as a member of various government led workgroups and industry initiatives.
David is chair of the company's projects and programmes committee and a member of the safety, security, health and environment committee.
Jayne Scott
Jayne will chair the company's audit, risk, ethics and assurance committee, the future missions committee and will be a member of the nominations and remuneration committee.
Currently she is a non-executive director with Scottish Government, chair of the Private Healthcare Information Network, board member and chair of the audit and risk assurance committee with the Coal Authority, an external member of the audit committee of the Information Commissioner's Office, chair of Electricity North West Limited's independent oversight group and chair of the joint audit panel for the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) and the Metropolitan Police Service.
Previously she was a board member of the NHS Counter Fraud Authority and chair of its audit and risk committee, a non-executive board member of the Marine Management Organisation and chair of its audit committee, a panel member for the Competition and Markets Authority, a non-executive director of Ofgem and chair of its audit committee, a non-executive director of the Professional Standards Authority, a member of the consumer challenge board for Heathrow Airport's Price Review, a board member of Registers of Scotland and chair of its audit and risk committee and a member of the audit committee of the Scotland Office and Office of the Advocate General.

I welcome both Jayne and David to the board and look forward to working with them. Both bring extremely strong experience to the board as we grow the business with the addition of the AGR fleet and Vulcan.
I also want to thank Susan Jee both personally and on behalf of the Board. Susan has played a crucial part in overseeing the strategic direction of the company, ensuring that NRS meets its goals in safely decommissioning nuclear sites across the UK. Her financial expertise and advice has been instrumental in optimising the company's resource allocation, leading to more efficient and effective operations.
Susan also has invested much time in coaching, mentoring and supporting our executive and senior leaders, drawing on her incredible experience and knowledge of the industry.

This is an exciting time for NRS, we have recently launched our new 10 year strategy and are looking forward to our business growing as we prepare to decommission the seven advanced gas cooled reactors currently being defuelled or operated by EDF and the MoD site Vulcan.
And both Jayne and David bring diverse experience to our board and different experiences and perspectives including from across the energy sector and will help our business deliver, transform, innovate and grow.

It's a privilege to join the NRS board. As a non-executive of the Coal Authority Board, I understand the importance to communities of the work of NRS in managing the nuclear legacy and restoring our sites to a future use. As NRS becomes the biggest civil nuclear employer in Scotland in the next eighteen months, I look forward to supporting the board and executive to lead NRS in effective partnership and collaboration with Scottish Government and sharing our knowledge and expertise, to create cleaner, greener futures for all our sites.
David said:
Supporting the UK energy sector has been a personal mission, successful decommissioning of our nuclear legacy is critical to building public confidence and trust not only in the future of the nuclear industry, but that the energy sector overall has the skills and capabilities to manage the just transition and reaching Net Zero by 2030 . NRS plays a real important role in building that confidence and trust and I look forward to working with the NRS board and executive on how we can add most value to achieving our energy future.
Both Jayne and David were appointed following a fair, open and transparent selection process.
