New Managing Director for South Regional TAFE appointed

  • Darshi Ganeson-Oats has been appointed for a five-year term commencing next year
  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery today announced the appointment, by The Honourable Kim Beazley AC, Governor of Western Australia, of Darshi Ganeson-Oats to the position of Managing Director, South Regional TAFE.

    Ms Ganeson-Oats has been appointed for a five-year term commencing January 19, 2021.

    Her career spans vocational education, business development and project management, performance analysis and economic research, in the public and private sectors.

    For the past 10 years, Ms Ganeson-Oats has held executive and management roles with Challenger Institute of Technology and South Metropolitan TAFE, where she is currently Executive Director Strategic Partnerships.

    Ms Ganeson-Oats is known for her strong knowledge of vocational education and training and expertise in commercial operations.

    She is a non-executive member of the board of the Australian Maritime College and a member of the Minister for Defence Issues' WA Defence Advisory Forum.

    Ms Ganeson-Oats holds a Bachelor Economics (Honours) from The University of Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma in Computing from Curtin University.

    As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

    "I would like to welcome Darshi Ganeson-Oats to the position of Managing Director of South Regional TAFE.

    "Ms Ganeson-Oats' extensive background in the training and corporate sector will be invaluable to the role.

    "I thank Sue Lapham for her service as acting managing director of South Regional TAFE."
