Weary travellers and locals in need of a comfort stop have a brand new place to rest in Navarre with a new public toilet located next to the community park facilities nearing completion and expected to be in operation from 3 December.
This Northern Grampians Shire Council initiative was made possible due to close collaboration with Navarre community stakeholders.
Community consultation ensured the design of the facility has room for expansion in the future should the need arise.
This project is entirely funded by council and reflects council's commitment to providing updated community infrastructure to all communities in the shire.
Councillor Kevin Erwin was involved in the consultation and thanked members of the Navarre community for their work in advocating for the new toilet block.
"It's wonderful to have such engaged and passionate members of the community who care for the comfort of locals and travellers alike," he said.
