Kiama Council's Blue Haven Community Transport program has been taken over by Coast and Country Community Services from today (2 December 2024).

Coast and Country Community Services currently operate successfully in Shoalhaven City LGA, Bega Valley Shire LGA and Young/Boorowa and Weddin areas.

"We're pleased to welcome Coast and Country Community Services as it will ensure our community continues to receive reliable and high-quality transport services, supporting both residents and staff across the region," said Kiama Council Chief Operating Officer Joe Gaudiosi.

Blue Haven's Community Transport was operated by Kiama Council on behalf of Transport NSW, and was therefore divested separately to the rest of Blue Haven Bonaira.

The divestment includes 5 vehicles, three staff and the majority of our volunteers.

Coast and Country Community Transport has set up an office in central Kiama from which to base their local operations.

The vehicles will be garaged at Kiama Council's Works Depot for the time being.

"I'm sure all our Community Transport clients will make Coast and Country welcome and I wish everyone all the best with this new provider," Mr Gaudiosi said.

All Blue Haven Community Transport clients have been informed about the switch over to a new provider.
