More migrants in the Rockhampton region will be supported to find meaningful work with the Queensland Government's Diverse Queensland Workforce Program's Employment Pathways Rockhampton hub, which is now open for operation.
Diverse Queensland Workforce connects employers with employees willing to work but who face barriers, and it's another way the Palaszczuk Government is working to diversify the state's workforce.
The program breaks down these barriers and empowers work-ready migrants, refugees, and international students to join Queensland's workforce.
In the Rockhampton area, Multicultural Australia was awarded $133,800 for the project under the Diverse Queensland Workforce program to assist migrants, refugees, and international students into employment.
This support is provided via the client-centred employment hub in Rockhampton.
It's through employment policies like this, the Palaszczuk Government is tackling the workforce crisis.
