Patient & Public Engagement (PPE) events are so important for the advancement of science and of our society. The events are a chance for everyone to gain better insight into the latest scientific developments and, in current challenging times of the global pandemic, these events give us hope and reassurance about our abilities to use science to solve our most complex and intractable problems to make a better society for future. At the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences we put PPE at the forefront of all our activities, especially education where our students can show how they work alongside academic and clinicians to contribute to the cutting-edge research effort.– Professor Kawal Rhode, Head of Education, School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences
