New smart sensors for Knox pedestrians

Using sensors on the footpaths and cameras at each intersections, this new technology can detect how many people are waiting to cross and adjust the light cycle accordingly. So, if there is a group of people waiting it will slow the cycle to ensure everyone crosses safely. It will also help keep the traffic moving during quiet pedestrian use as the light cycle will only be triggered when there is someone at the intersection.
