Manningham Council
We're developing a Stormwater Management Strategy (Strategy) to help identify, manage and reduce flood risk to people, property, infrastructure and the environment.
The Strategy will comprise a two-part document including:
- Stormwater Management Strategy Policy: a framework detailing the methodology and criteria for prioritisation of Council's future drainage capital works projects.
- Future Works Plan: a prioritised list of future capital works projects within the municipality.
It will guide Council's investment and strategic coordination of the future long-term Capital Works Program to support a healthy, safe and resilient community.
It will be informed by a range of Council endorsed documents, existing data sources (customer requests), flood mapping information and internal stakeholder feedback. An external consultant is assisting Council officers to prepare the Strategy.
Council will consider the draft Policy for adoption in late 2024.
