New Visitor Guide Showcases Local Gems

Clarence Valley Council is excited to announce the release of the new Clarence Valley Visitor Information Guide.

This 52-page guide is packed with essential information, highlighting the region's natural beauty, national parks, beaches, museums, art trails, local events, and vibrant businesses, positioning the Clarence Valley as a premier destination in the Northern Rivers, offering both inspiration and practical resources for visitors.

Clarence Valley Council General Manager, Laura Black, has praised the collaboration in making this project and the importance of tourism in the Clarence Valley.

"This guide not only showcases the region's stunning natural beauty and unique experiences but also highlights the vibrant businesses that make the Clarence Valley a special destination."

"This has been a real joint effort between the tourism industry and Council officers to create something that truly embodies the essence of the Clarence Valley—Where Moments Become Memories.

"Tourism is a $181.4 million industry in the Clarence Valley, playing a vital role in supporting local employment.

"The release of the Clarence Valley Visitor Information Guide marks an important milestone in implementing the recently adopted Clarence Valley Destination Management Plan, demonstrating early progress toward achieving its objectives.

With the Visitors Guide being one of the teams most requested resources, 10,000 copies are already being distributed locally and through the NSW and SEQLD Visitor Information Network in time for the busy holiday period.

Over 100 local businesses collaborated with the tourism team to create this comprehensive guide, showcasing the heartland, river towns, and coastal treasures of the region.

Participating businesses can expect to receive copies in the coming days, but all local businesses are invited to pick up a box from Customer Services in Maclean or Grafton between Thursday 12th – Monday 23rd December, while stocks last.

Visitors to the region, as well as locals wanting to explore their own backyard, can pick up a copy at:

  • Ferry Park Gallery
  • The Scottish Shop, Maclean
  • Yamba Bowling Club
  • Iluka Emporium
  • Glenreagh Bakery
  • Coldstream Gallery, Ulmarra
  • And many accommodation providers and businesses across the region.
