Bayside Council's bin replacement program has started, and residents can expect to see their old red, yellow and green-lidded bins replaced with new ones.
Bins will be replaced during a bin collection day between January and March. New green-lidded bins, distributed recently as part of the garden organics program, will not be replaced.
This is part of Council's routine replacement of older bins to ensure they are appropriately and consistently sized and feature correct signage, as well as to help reduce repair and maintenance costs. The new bins are made up of up to 80% recycled materials.
Bin collection changes start on Monday 3 March 2025 and waste collection days will change for some residents.
Residents can view their collection dates for all waste services on the Bayside Waste Services App, Bayside Council website, or contact Council via 1300 581 299 for assistance.
