Thanks to everyone for taking part in today's Youth Engagement Workshop at The Pavilion.

An especial thanks to our local high school and primary students for taking the time to discuss two big issues particularly important to young people: local housing and recreational facilities.

Both pose significant intergenerational challenges, and today our councillors found out first-hand how local young people want our community (through council) to tackle them.

Our councillors split up and joined different teams to 'workshop' these problems and solutions.

The new format for the annual youth engagement meeting proved a big hit, with lots of discussion, debate and ideas.

The results will be put to very good use, helping develop our Local Housing Strategy and Open Spaces and Recreation Strategy.

Well done to our SENTRAL Youth Services team who hosted and coordinated the workshop.
