Cessnock City Council is excited to announce the Newcastle Jets will face off against the Central Coast Mariners in an exhibition match ahead of the A-League Women season at Cessnock Sportsground, on Sunday 13 October.
In the lead-up to the match, the public is invited to attend free open training sessions on Friday and Saturday, providing an excellent opportunity for fans to watch the team prepare.
The Jets will also host a free PLAY community clinic on Saturday 12 October from 11am to 12:30pm for local children aged 5-13 to learn from players in the Ninja A-League Women's squad.
Registration for the event is required. Participants will also have the chance to collect autographs and take photos with the players and enjoy a sausage sizzle.
Cessnock City Mayor Dan Watton welcomed the opportunity for local football fans to see the Newcastle Jets A-League Women's team as they prepare for the upcoming season.
