Campaspe Shire Council is delighted to announce that the newly refurbished Rushworth Service Centre and Library is opening at 33 High Street on Thursday, 7 March.
Mayor, Cr Rob Amos said he's excited to see the build finished and for community to begin using the refurbished space.
"It's great to see the new Rushworth Service Centre and Library finished for the community to enjoy. I'd like to extend thanks to our community who were so patient and understanding through construction.
"As many of you may know, there were a few delays in the construction period. We appreciate your patience as contractors have worked to complete works quickly as possible.
"I hope this new space serves as a great community hub, where people can come to relax, collaborate and learn," Cr Amos said.
The new space also houses the library service in Rushworth. Residents are encouraged to visit the service centre and library as a one-stop location to access Council support.
Waranga Ward Cr Adrian Weston said it's great to see the project finished and is another win for the Ward.
"There are so many wonderful projects near completion, and some exciting projects in development. All of these works help increase the liveability of the town.
"Again, I'd like to extend thanks to community for their patience. I acknowledge there were many setbacks in the works and am grateful for the community and their support," Cr Weston added.
The new Rushworth Service Centre and Library is open 8.30am to 4.30pm (closed from 12noon to 1pm) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
