Cessnock City Council invites book lovers to a free author talk with acclaimed Australian author Nicole Alexander on Wednesday 16 April, from 5:30 to 6:45pm, at Cessnock Library to discuss her captivating new novel,The Limestone Road.
Set against the backdrop of post-World War II South Australia, The Limestone Road follows the journey of soldier Canning Christie and his father, Michael, as they return to South Australia from the deserts of North Africa in 1944.
Library Services Co-ordinator, Rose-marie Walters, encourages residents to attend this special event and delve into the novel's themes of resilience, family dynamics, and the quest for belonging.
"The Limestone Roadis a beautifully written and deeply moving story that will resonate with readers and we're so excited to have Nicole Alexander here to share it," said Ms Walters.
"This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the author, hear about her inspiration, and delve into the world of her captivating novel."
Nicole Alexander is the author of twelve novels, includingThe Bark Cutters,and resides in north-west NSW. Books will be available for sale and signing at the event.
