Nominations are now open for our 2021 Nillumbik Australia Day Awards.

These awards a great opportunity to say thank you to an individual or community group who has done extraordinary things in Nillumbik.

Council was successful in being awarded $20,000 from the National Australia Day Council to assist in the delivery of a COVID-safe event for Australia Day 2021 that spreads the message of Reflect. Respect. Celebrate.

We're all part of the story. We are inviting nominations in the categories of:

• Young Citizen of the Year (16-30 years old)

• Senior Citizen of the Year (aged over 60)

• Volunteer of the Year

• Community Group of the Year

The awards will be presented at Nillumbik's first virtual Australia Day and Citizenship Reflection Ceremony on Tuesday 26 January 2021.

Planning is underway to ensure that the community can continue to celebrate and award winners are recognised.

Nominations for the 2021 awards close on Sunday 29 November 2020.
