Nine people were arrested after police found drugs and weapons in a city hotel room overnight.
Police, including Operation Meld detectives, Crime Gangs Task Force and STAR, attended a hotel in Franklin Street, Adelaide just after midnight on Sunday 18 December.
Officers searched a hotel room and allegedly located a quantity of methamphetamine and a number of knives.
Nine of the room's occupants were subsequently arrested;
- An 18-year-old Craigmore man was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and breach of bail
- A 19-year-old Burton man was charged with breach of bail
- An 18-year-old Salisbury man was charged with breach of bail
- A 17-year-old Munno Para West boy was charged with breach of bail
- A 17-year-old Blakeview boy was charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and breach of bail
- A 16-year-old Elizabeth Vale boy was charged with carry offensive weapon and breach of bail
- A 17-year-old Craigmore boy was charged with state false details, breach of bail and had an outstanding warrant
- A 17-year-old Andrews Farm boy was charged with breach of bail
- A 17-year-old Victorian boy was arrested on a warrant
They were all refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court and Youth Court on Monday.
The investigation and forensic examination of the seized items is ongoing.
