Nine people were arrested after a theft from a Marden bottle shop yesterday.
About 9.20am on Thursday 9 January, police were called to the business on Lower Portrush Road after reports that a group of people had entered and stolen a large amount of alcohol. The group then left and boarded a bus toward the city.
Patrols tracked down the bus and stopped it on Botanic Road, Adelaide. On the bus police located the group and a number of the stolen bottles of alcohol (pictured).
The following individuals were arrested and charged with theft.
- 20-year-old Para Hills woman
- 20-year-old Semaphore Park woman
- 16-year-old Seaton boy
- 14-year-old Parafield Gardens girl
- 17-year-old Alice Springs girl
- 22-year-old Elizabeth Vale man
- 17-year-old Alice Springs boy
- 18-year-old Parafield Gardens woman
They were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 26 February (Adults), and Adelaide Youth Court on 28 February (Youths). They were all issued transit barring orders and barred from entering the bottle shop.
