A man has been caught 40km/h over the speed limit reaching 150km/h with his family on board, including two young children, in Burrumbeet this morning.
Ballarat Highway Patrol detected the speeding car on the Western Highway about 1am.
The driver of the Toyota Rav 4 was found to be travelling 150km/h in a 110km/h zone claiming he was just travelling along with the traffic.
