No More Stalling On Airport Rail

Liberal Party Victoria

The Allan Labor Government must end its stalling tactics and finally build the Airport Rail Victorians deserve.

Premier Jacinta Allan's year-long dispute with Airport Rail has seen the project shelved, with potential completion now as far away as 2033.

This comes as reports show that neither the Premier nor the current Minister for Transport Infrastructure, Danny Pearson, attended any of the 10 mediation meetings.

Shadow Minister for Transport Infrastructure, David Southwick, said: "Everyone knows we need an Airport Rail, but Premier Jacinta Allan is desperate to axe it and redirect money to fill Labor's $20 billion SRL East funding black hole.

"The fact that nobody from the Allan Labor Government could be bothered turning up to their own mediation shows that they're just not serious.

"Labor cannot manage money, cannot manage major projects and Victorians are paying the price."
