The Australia Day Awards nominations for 2025 are now open for Hills residents to nominate a deserving individual or group to be honoured during Australia Day.
The awards are an opportunity to recognise and celebrate Hills heroes who have made outstanding contributions to our community.
The awards are presented in five categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Senior Citizen of the Year (over 65)
- Young Citizen of the Year (24 and under)
- Environmental Citizen of the Year
- Community Group of the Year
Nominees must be residents of The Hills Shire Local Government Area (LGA) and must have made a positive impact on The Hills Shire community over the past year.
Finalists of the 2025 awards will be announced in the lead up to Australia Day 2025.
To submit a nomination, visit Council's website and search for 'Australia Day Awards' to fill out the simple online application form.
Nominations close on Friday, 15 November 2024.
