Officers from Geelong Highway Patrol have impounded a car after it was allegedly observed travelling 53km/h over the speed limit in Norlane.
Police detected a blue 2006 Kia hatch travelling along Cox Road about 11pm on Friday night at 113km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Officers intercepted the car on Anakie Road and spoke to the driver, a 22-year-old man from Bell Post Hill.
He refused to accompany police for an evidentiary breath test and is expected to be charged with a number of traffic offences including drive whilst disqualified, speed dangerous and refuse to accompany.
His car has been impounded for 30 days with towing costs of $1115.
