Detectives from the Gateway Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a man with additional sexual assault offences, following recent information about further incidents since a January 31 appeal.
It will be alleged the 67-year-old man committed a further five offences against three young people known to him aged between 11 and 15 at the time of the offence.
It is further alleged the offences were committed in 2006, 2023 and 2024 during the course of his duties as a basketball coach.
Following extensive investigations under Operation X-ray Modern, Gateway CPIU attended a Mango Hill address yesterday, February 28, where a 67-year-old man was taken into custody.
The man has been charged with an additional four counts of indecent treatment of a child and one count of enter dwelling with intent.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday, March 1.

Officer in Charge of Gateway CPIU, Detective Senior Sergeant Peter Lunney, commends all victim-survivors for their courage to come forward.
"I acknowledge the bravery of every person who has come forward as part of this investigation," he said.
"Their bravery helps police hold the alleged offenders to account and gives others the courage to come forward.
"We encourage anyone else who has any knowledge of this type of offending, is themselves a victim-survivor of sexual violence or has information to provide in relation to this investigation to come forward.
"I want to reassure you that what has happened to you is not your fault and you are not alone, and that there are support services available to you."
Investigations are ongoing and police are providing support to those involved.
