Norway Funds UNDP for Global Sustainable Development Boost

New York - The Government of Norway has contributed USD 40 million (NOK 428.4 million) in regular (core) resources to UNDP for 2024. UNDP thanks Norway for its continued trust and support which enables coordinated, flexible and rapid responses to development needs and emergencies around the world.

This contribution from Norway is critical for UNDP's efforts to support the world's poorest countries to eradicate poverty and strengthen their resilience to crisis. The support will also help reduce inequalities and strengthen inclusive and effective governance systems worldwide.

UNDP looks forward to a continued strong partnership with Norway to tackle multidimensional poverty, promote gender equality and build resilience to crises and climate change, and to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Core resources help strengthen UNDP's oversight and accountability functions and ensure the organization can continue to deliver programmes effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with the highest standards of transparency.
