Northern Territory Police have issued a notice to appear in court to a 21-year-old female for drug offences.
On Monday 31 August 2020, police conducted drug screening operations at Darwin Airport.
Narcotic Detection Dog Cougar indicated the presence of drugs in luggage destined for Alyangula. A further search by police located four large duct taped packages of cannabis weighing approximately 600 grams.
Police located the woman inside the airport and placed her under arrest.
She is due to appear in Alyangula Local Court on Tuesday 20 October 2020 for:
- possess traffickable quantity schedule 2 dangerous drug
- supply schedule 2 dangerous drug less commercial quantity - Indigenous community.
