Novo Nordisk Funds DKK 17M for Structural Facility

Technical University of Denmark

Enzymes are core components of many biotechnological solutions. Understanding enzymes' structure-function relationship will become the key focus area for solving some of the existing engineering and enzymatic design problems needed for a sustainable future.

Catalyse4X, led by Professor Preben Morth, aims to provide enzymologists and protein chemists with easy access to fast experimental structural data, a crucial step towards unravelling the structure-function relationship.

Thanks to the generous DKK 17 million donation from the Novo Nordisk Foundation, Catalyse4X will bridge academia and industry, accelerating biosustainable innovations by integrating structural, biochemical, and molecular biology insights.
