Paul Doop will join the Supervisory Board of TU/e as of April 1, which means that the Board will have its full complement again. His focus will be on the areas of finance and operations. Education Minister Robbert Dijkgraaf has appointed Doop for the customary four-year term.
Paul Doop is a member of the Executive Board of the Netherlands Public Broadcasting Corporation (NPO), having previously chaired the Executive Board of the Haaglanden Medical Center. Before that, he served as Vice-Chairman of the Executive Board of the University of Amsterdam and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences.
"I am honored to contribute to the ambitions of TU/e, as part of the Brainport region," says Paul Doop about his appointment. "I am keen to collaborate on the necessary preconditions for realizing these ambitions: the investment agenda, the quality of services within TU/e, cooperation in the region and a healthy business operation."
Robert-Jan Smits, President of the TU/e Executive Board: "We are very pleased to welcome Paul Doop as a new member of the Supervisory Board. He has many years of experience and very thorough knowledge of finance and business in various relevant settings. He will be of great value to the Executive Board as both supervisor and advisor."
Peter Wennink, Chairman of the TU/e Supervisory Board, adds: "We are extremely happy to have found such a good candidate to fill the position that became vacant at the end of Professor Coen Teulings's last term. Paul Doop's various functions and roles make him ideally equipped to provide support on the financial and operational issues that the TU/e faces and will face."
Drs. Paul Doop (1955) succeeds Coen Teulings, who completed his second term on the TU/e Supervisory Board last year. Doop studied Public Administration, specializing in Public Finance, at the Radboud University in Nijmegen and the University of Leiden.
