NRMA Insurance Joins One Stop One Story Hub

NRMA Insurance becomes first insurer to partner with the One Stop One Story Hub

NRMA Insurance has today announced its partnership with the One Stop One Story (OSOS) Hub, becoming the first insurer to support the cross-sector platform that connects and refers customers experiencing vulnerability to a range of support services.

The OSOS Hub, an initiative created by Thriving Communities Australia, enables individuals experiencing domestic and family violence or financial hardship to share their story once, and gain access to comprehensive wrap-around support from multiple service providers. This process makes it simpler for people to navigate and receive multiple levels of support from different sectors, reducing the burden and complexity involved in contacting each organisation individually.

Thriving Communities Australia CEO Ciara Sterling said: "The One Stop One Story Hub is a long-term solution that reduces the barriers to accessing support. It would not be possible without cross-sector collaboration, and we welcome NRMA Insurance to our network of partners, who have united for a common cause.

"We know that many people across Australia are not accessing the support they need and are entitled to including corporate hardship assistance."

There's often lack of awareness around what assistance is available and feelings of shame, stress and trauma that come with telling your story repeatedly.

The OSOS Hub is a world-first platform enabling frontline workers in corporate, community and government organisations to connect and refer their customers to a range of support through an innovative, streamlined system.

NRMA Insurance CEO Julie Batch said: "We are focused on identifying and supporting customers impacted by domestic and family violence or financial hardship and taking a leading role to help eliminate financial abuse."

The One Stop One Story Hub is an innovative solution to make support more accessible and we are proud to be working in collaboration with other service providers to help our customers who are experiencing vulnerability.

"We have also introduced specialty training modules to strengthen the skills of our customer support teams so they may better recognise and help those in need," continued Ms Batch.

NRMA Insurance's parent company IAG commenced its partnership with Thriving Communities Australia in 2023. Thriving Communities Australia is a charitable not-for-profit organisation that enables collaboration across sectors to see everybody has fair access to the modern essential services they need to thrive.
