Work on the $438 million Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment is on track to deliver contemporary health services to the region and support hundreds of local jobs during construction.
Minister for Regional Health Ryan Park and Member for South Coast Liza Butler today toured the site to see the progress, which is set to transform access to healthcare for the local community.
The Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment includes new and upgraded health facilities designed to meet the growing health needs of the community, improve patient care, and support healthcare professionals with the latest equipment and technology.
Construction of the new seven-storey acute clinical services building is close to reaching its highest point, and includes a new emergency department, intensive care unit, double the number of operating theatres and endoscopy rooms, a dedicated cardiology inpatient unit, and a new rooftop helipad.
The Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment acute services building is expected to be completed in 2026.
