Police have rescued a man after he fell from a cliff in the Blue Mountains earlier today, NSW Police say.
About 12.40pm today a group of people were rock climbing at The Main Wall on Sublime Point Road, Leura, when a 20-year old man slipped and fell down the cliff.
Officers attached to Blue Mountains Local Area Command, with the assistance of Police Rescue and paramedics abseiled into the area and assessed the man.
Just after 3pm, the man was winched by Ambulance Rescue Helicopter and taken to Westmead Hospital with fractures to his legs.
A woman, believed to be aged in her 20’s, was also treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to Blue Mountains Hospital with rope burns.
