NSW Man's Bad Day Brightened Up After $1.3M Bonanza

In a twist of fate, a Berkley Vale man's unfortunate experience with a dodgy carbonara led to the fortunate discovery of his $1.2 million win in the Saturday Lotto draw held on January 13, 2024. The New South Wales resident was one of the four lucky division one winners in the Lotto draw 4433, each securing a prize of $1,260,010.08.

The winner has shared his excitement, recounting how his bad spaghetti carbonara kept him awake all night, leading him to check his lottery entry

“Mate, this is unbelievable!” he exclaimed.

“I’ve been waiting for your call for two days! Now that you’ve called, I can allow myself to believe it’s real.

“Saturday night wasn’t a fun one for anyone in my home!

“A dodgy carbonara had me feeling very unwell and unable to sleep all night, so just after midnight I gave up on sleep and decided to check my entry.

“Well, I felt better immediately!

“The adrenaline started pumping and sleep was forgotten after that. I woke up my partner and we both just sat in shock for a little while.

“I’ve never bought a house so that’s my first priority.

“Following that, I’ll just set us up for the future and enjoy this moment.

“It’s surreal!”

His winning System 7 QuickPick entry was purchased online at the official lotto website.
