The Clarence and Richmond Valleys will soon have a raft of better sporting, community and cultural assets thanks to $400,000 in new funding from the NSW Nationals in the state government's Community Building Partnership (CBP) Program.
Clarence Nationals MP Chris Gulaptis said the CBP program is a fantastic initiative providing relatively small grants that make a big difference."
"Highlights include a defib for Casino Little Athletics, solar panels for Evans Head's Living Museum, a new kitchen at Grafton's Criterion Theatre and Dog Obedience Club, better tennis courts in Wooli and Maclean and cash grants for surf lifesaving, the Rural Fire Service and the Scouts and Girl Guides," Mr Gulaptis said.
The successful applicants, winning grants of between $5000 and $25000 are:
Lower Clarence Tennis Association $25,000 - replace surface on two tennis courts
Wooli Tennis Club $16,000 - replacement of fencing at courts

The Community Building Partnership program has funded more than 18,000 community projects. Applications for the 2023 Program open in May 2023.
