Tens of thousands of eligible authorised workers in western and south-western Sydney LGAs of concern have been offered priority COVID-19 vaccinations from today at selected NSW Health vaccination clinics listed belowbetween August 16 and 22.

This follows yesterday's Super Sunday event at Sydney Olympic Park and South Western Sydney Vaccination centre, where almost 10,000 people from construction industries and university students received AstraZeneca and Pfizer vaccinations.
Authorised workers are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination if they live in one of the Local Government Areas (LGAs) or suburbs of concern: Blacktown, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool, Parramatta, Bayside, Burwood, Strathfield, and Penrith for the following suburbs: Caddens, Claremont Meadows, Colyton, Erskine Park, Kemps Creek, Kingswood, Mount Vernon, North St Marys, Orchard Hills, Oxley Park, St Clair and St Marys.
Workers must fall into the authorised categories:
- health care, aged care and disability care
- construction
- freight and transport; including bus drivers
- meat processing
- food production/processing/retail
- Primary, Secondary and Early Childhood school staff
NSW Health has worked with Business NSW to identify and invite workers from these LGAs and suburbs of concern to book an appointment for a vaccine.
Eligible workers will receive a unique link to book their vaccine appointment and will be required to bring photo ID as well as proof of their place of work to receive their vaccination.
NSW Health has established a number of priority clinics where authorised workers can get vaccinated as part of this campaign. Please note that both doses of the vaccine must be booked at the same time and with the same clinic.
For eligible workers aged 16-39:
- NSW Health Vaccination Centre, Sydney Olympic Park
- Qudos Bank Arena NSW Health Vaccination Centre
- South Western Sydney Vaccination Centre
- Prairiewood Vaccination Clinic
- Nepean Vaccination Centre
- St George Vaccination Clinic
For eligible workers aged 40+:
- Blacktown Hospital Vaccination Clinic
- NSW Health Vaccination Centre, Sydney Olympic Park
- Prairiewood Vaccination Clinic (walk-ins welcome)
- Caddens Vaccination Clinic
- Rockdale Vaccination Clinic (walk in)
- Hurstville Vaccination Centre (walk in)
It is anticipated that around 100,000 workers will receive a vaccination over the course of the week.
In addition to this, around 530,000 Pfizer doses from the Commonwealth will be prioritised for express delivery to the 12 Greater Sydney LGAs where the COVID-19 outbreak continues to grow. This will give those aged 16 to 39 years in these LGAs the opportunity to be vaccinated.
The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 5,009,457 with 1,840,778 doses administered by NSW Health to 8pm Saturday night August 14 and 3,168,679 administered by the GP network and other providers to 11.59pm on Friday 13th August 2021.
