NSW Parks Shut: Wombeyan Caves, Abercrombie River, Yerranderie

Heavy rainfall and flooding has caused the closure of Wombeyan Caves, Abercrombie River National Park and Yerranderie Regional Park over the long weekend.

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has closed 3 parks until Tuesday 11 June 2024 due to extremely wet conditions, impacts on access roads and flooded causeways.

All camping areas are closed in Abercrombie River National Park. The Kowmung River Fire Trail and the Dingo Dell campground in Kanangra-Boyd National Park are also closed.

Visitors with booking are being notified and fees will be refunded.

National Parks and Wildlife Service apologises for the unexpected closures over the long weekend but visitor and staff safety is our priority. Visitors are reminded not to enter closed areas for their own safety and not to cross flooded creeks and causeways.

Please check the National Parks and Wildlife Service alerts webpage for up-to-date information on conditions and closures before visiting any national park.
