Police are appealing for public assistance to identify 12 people they believe can assist with an investigation into multiple bike thefts across Sydney's transport network.
In May 2024, officers attached to Police Transport Command commenced an investigation into unsolved bike thefts reported across Sydney's north west metropolitan public transport network since early last year, with several offenders charged to date (Wednesday 29 May 2024).
As inquiries continue, police have released images of 12 men who they believe might be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man (Person A) was seen Seven Hills Railway Station about 6.30pm on Monday 22 January 2024. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, with a slim build and short grey beard, wearing a dark blue t-shirt, shorts, white shoes and a red cap.
The second man (Person B) was seen at Penrith Railway Station about 12.35pm on Tuesday 9 May 2023. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a medium build, wearing a black cap and sunglasses, a black and grey jacket with a black and grey shirt underneath, grey tracksuit pants and blue sneakers.
The third man (Person C) was seen at Penrith Railway Station about 2pm on Wednesday 2 August 2023. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with slim build, wearing a white cap, black and white shirt, grey tracksuit pants with black strikes down the sides and grey shoes.
The fourth man (Person D) was seen at Kingswood Railway Station about 10.55am on Wednesday 10 January 2024. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a medium build and tattoos on both forearms and legs, wearing a black cap, black shirt, white and grey short and grey shoes.
The fifth man (Person E) was seen at Kingswood Railway Station about 11.50am on Tuesday 12 March 2024. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with slim build and tanned skin, wearing a blue cap, blue singlet and khaki shorts while carrying a black satchel bag;
The sixth man (Person F), seen at the same time and place as Person E, is described as being of Caucasian appearance with slim build, wearing a pink cap, black t-shirt, and navy blue tracksuit pants.
The seventh man (Person G), was seen at Parramatta Railway Station about 5.30pm on Monday 11 December 2023. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with medium build and has tattoos on the back of both hands, wearing a fluorescent yellow long-sleeve shirt, and carrying a black satchel bag.
The eighth man (Person H) was seen at Pendle Hill Railway Station about 9.30pm on Tuesday 27 February 2024. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with slim build and grey hair, wearing a green jacket with yellow stripes on the sleeves and black and white shoes.
The ninth man (Person I) was seen at Toongabbie Railway Station about 10.15pm on Saturday 10 February 2024. He is described as being of African appearance with a medium build, wearing a black cap, headphones, purple puffer jacket, white shirt, and dark pants while carrying a backpack.
The tenth man (Person J) was seen at Schofield Railway Station about 10pm on Saturday 1 July 2023. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with medium build and short balding hair, wearing sunglasses, a blue and grey long-sleeve shirt, grey pants, and orange and grey shoes.
The eleventh man (Person K) was seen at Parramatta Railway Station about 10.55am on Wednesday 10 April 2024. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with slim build, wearing a black cap, black jumper with a white symbol on the front, black tracksuit pants and green shoes.
The twelfth man (Person L) was seen at Lidcombe Railway Station about 4.20pm on Thursday 18 April 2024. He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with medium build, wearing a black t-shirt and navy blue shorts.
