Police investigating the assault and robbery of a taxi driver at Homebush West have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak with, NSW Police say.
About 2.15am on Thursday 4 June 2016, a 49-year-old taxi driver dropped off a man at the rear of a unit complex on Courallie Avenue.
Police have been told the man assaulted the taxi driver and demanded cash, to which the taxi driver complied.
The man left the taxi and went into a nearby unit complex.
The robbery was reported to police from Flemington Local Area Command who commenced an investigation.
As inquiries into the incident continue, police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with the investigation.
The man depicted in the image is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with a solid build, and aged between 20 and 25 years with short brown hair and black marks on his forehead.
He is seen wearing a beige zip up hooded top, and dark coloured long pants.
Anyone who knows the identity of this man, or has information that may assist detectives, is urged to come forward.
