Detectives have released images of a vehicle and a man who may be able to assist officers after a firearm was produced during an incident in Sydney's south west.
About 12.20am on Friday 8 March 2024, a 34-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were seated in two separate vehicles parked in a carpark along Camden Road, Campbelltown, when they were allegedly approached by a man not known to them.
The pair then drove from the scene to another carpark at the rear of a fast-food outlet on Tindall Street, Campbelltown.
A short time later the man followed the pair into the second carpark driving a white Toyota Hilux utility with a stainless steel sports bar. He then exited the Toyota and threatened the other man and woman with a firearm before attempting to smash the driver's window of the 34-year-old man's car with the butt of the firearm.
The 34-year-old man and the woman drove from the scene where the matter was reported to officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command.
Following inquiries investigators have released images of the vehicle and of a man who may be able to assist police.
He is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 170cm tall, thin build and short brown hair.
The man was wearing a black singlet with the logo PUMA across the chest in white writing, blue shorts with a red horizontal stripe on the top of the left leg and on the opposite side a white stripe. Both stripes are enclosed by a black top and bottom line. Dark coloured shoes were also being worn.
