Police have released an image of a woman they believe may be able to assist with inquiries after a number of car tyres were damaged in the Newcastle Local Area Command, NSW Police say.
Since May this year, police have received multiple reports of tyres being slashed and punctured while parked on public streets and carparks.
These incidents have occurred in many suburbs around Newcastle, especially Mayfield and Tighes Hill.
Police believe the person depicted in the CCTV image may be able to assist with inquiries.
She is described as being a female with a medium build and height and dark hair.
Investigations are continuing and police are appealing for the woman shown in the image or anyone who has further information, to come forward.
