The Northern Territory has recorded 14 new cases of COVID-19.
Eleven cases are linked to the NT outbreak, bringing the total number of cases to 123. These new cases include residents from Tennant Creek, an outstation near Barrow Creek, and Katherine. Contact tracing is underway.
The remaining cases are not connected to the NT outbreak and were not in the community while infectious. They include:
One case who is in quarantine at the Centre for National Resilience as a close contact of the workers at Yulara, who travelled from Brisbane.One case in the Centre for National Resilience who arrived from, and has since returned to, South Australia.One case who arrived on a flight from London and is in quarantine.
Genomic sequencing has confirmed the two workers who arrived in Yulara from Brisbane have the omicron variant of COVID-19. This brings the total number of omicron cases recorded in the NT to 13.
There are currently 15 people with COVID-19 in hospital, one of whom is in ICU.
More than 2,400 COVID-19 tests were processed across the NT yesterday.
COVID-19 testing sites are open in Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Nhulunbuy and Darwin. Testing is also available at NT Health clinics in remote communities.

Tennant Creek and Ali Curung remain in lockdown until 5pm on Wednesday, 22 December 2021.
A mask mandate remains in place for the Barkly Local Government until 5pm on Wednesday, 22 December 2021.
