ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
FLOODING HAS EASED AT THE NITMILUK CENTRE
River levels are easing along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre. Rainfall totals up to 32 mm have been recorded in the Katherine River catchment in the 24 hours since 9:00 am Monday.
Further rainfall is possible for the next few days across the Katherine River catchment. The situation is being monitored and warnings will be issued as required.
Katherine River Gorge Road:
No further flooding is expected in the Katherine River at Gorge Road. However river level rises are possible with forecast rainfall in the next few days.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 2.30 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (3.00 m). The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.00 m) during Tuesday.

The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should:
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Prepare for flooding and move away while safe to do so.
