NT Police Hunt for Alice Springs Aggravated Robbery Info 12 June

Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated robbery occurred in Alice Springs yesterday afternoon.

Around 4pm, police received a report that 3 males had allegedly stolen a bike from a 14-year-old male in Araluen.

The victim was riding his bike along Larapinta Drive near Memorial Avenue when he was stopped by 3 male offenders, one of whom was allegedly armed with an edged weapon.

The armed offender allegedly threatened the victim and demanded he hand over the bike. The 3 offenders then fled the scene with the bike.

The bike is described as a grey and orange Avanti Men's Mountain Bike and a photo has been provided. One of the offenders was reportedly wearing a red jumper and black pants.

Strike Force Viper are investigating the incident.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or with any information regarding the location of the bike to contact 131 444 or attend their local police station. Please quote P24157610.
