NT Police Probe Katherine Aggravated Robbery 12 July

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred overnight in Katherine.

Around 9.00pm last night, a group of up to 5 male youths approached and engaged in conversation with two women walking along Dowling Street.

An additional group of youths subsequently approached the women. One of the offenders from this group allegedly threatened one of the women with an edged weapon, before stealing her handbag.

All youths immediately fled the scene.

The 57-year-old woman and her companion did not suffer any injuries.
