The event will provide information about the range of e-learning course content that can help participants learn more about how to protect patients during medical uses of radiation.
IAEA Database on Discharges of Radionuclides to the Atmosphere and Aquatic Environment
Tuesday, 17 September 2024, from 10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. at ESPACE M01, M Building, first floor.
The IAEA Database on Discharges of Radionuclides to the Atmosphere and Aquatic Environment (DIRATA) is a worldwide centralized repository of data submitted voluntarily by IAEA Member States and data collected by other international and national organizations. Launched over 20 years ago, DIRATA was recently enhanced with additional data and user-friendly features.
At this event, the DIRATA team will demonstrate how to use the database to monitor and report annual discharges of radionuclides from nuclear power plants and reprocessing facilities.
Tuesday, 17 September 2024, from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at ESPACE M0E, M Building, ground floor.
This event will highlight how nuclear security networks - including the International Network of Front Line Officers and Organizations for Nuclear Security Detection, the International Nuclear Security Education Network, and the International Network for Nuclear Security Training and Support Centres - focus on building capacity and support, cooperation and exchange among their members. The event will draw attention to the networks' collaborations and members' experiences.
