NVS Researchers Secure 20M SEK Swedish Grant

Congratulations to the six researchers at NVS who have been awarded project grants from the Swedish Research Council in their 2024 call for Medicine and Health.

Jeanette Eckerblad , Division of Nursing, will receive a total of 3,000,000 SEK for the project "Utveckling och utvärdering av en komplex intervention, PeriBrainCare Bundle, för att stödja äldre personer i deras kognitiva återhämtning efter hjärtkirurgi (ECPON del 2)" during the years 2025-2027.

Maria Eriksdotter , Division of Clinical Geriatrics, will receive a total of 3,000,000 SEK for the project"Utveckling av kombinationsbehandling med neurotrofin, anti-amyloid och galantamin för Alzheimers sjukdom" "Development of combination therapy with neurotrophin, anti-amyloid, and galantamine for Alzheimer's disease" during the years 2025-2027.

Marc Guitart-Masip , Division of Aging Research Canter, will receive a total of 3,000,000 SEK for the project "Psykobiologiska markörer för att förbättra diagnosen och för att förutsäga affektiva skov vid bipolär sjukdom" during the years 2025-2027.

Silvia Maioli , Division of Neurogeriatrics, will receive a total of 5,600,000 SEK for the project "Aktivering av CYP46A1: en lovande terapi för att skydda kvinnor från att utveckla Alzheimers sjukdom" during the years 2025-2028.

Ivan Nalvarte , Division of Neurogeriatrics, will receive a total of 2,142,858 SEK for the project "En jämförande studie av en ny organoidmodell av Alzheimers sjukdom" during the years 2024-2027.

Bengt Winblad , Division of Neurogeriatrics, will receive a total of 3,000,000 SEK for the project "PROTACs - Ny strategi för behandling av Alzheimers sjukdom" during the years 2025-2027.
